"The Wasp Factory"- Iain Banks

The summer brief from uni, was to create a collection of images in response to a chosen book. I decided to pick "The Wasp Factory" as my book. The reason was based around the dark psychological themes of the book, I was excited to create imagery and give my own interpretations of what I read. 

The book itself was a fantastic read, and one I couldn't put down. Based around the life of an unconventional family, where the main character is sadistic calculated character, who's interests involve animal sacrifice and murder. I wanted to capture the darkness that engulfed his life and try and create imagery that reflected the location and themes of the book.
